These steps are famous around the globe and are know as “the Rocky Steps”. Normally thousands of tourists run up every single day, just like Sylvester Stallone’s character, Rocky Balboa. And guess what? His 1976 directorial debut “Rocky” would earn him an Oscar. Thousands endured the downpour to meet ‘Rocky’ who remains an inspiration to fans of all ages. Now almost 50 years later, junior reporter Zane goes to the famous steps to find out why this beloved Philly underdog is still relevant to so many people. Rocky fan and impersonator Frank Bedo and Councilman Curtis Jones share their thoughts on the remaining significants of Rocky and ‘his’ Steps.
