In a rare occasion during the historic visit of Pope Francis I. to the U.S. and Philadelphia, PA the bridge opened exclusively to pedestrians and cyclist. The structure, crossing the Delaware River, between Camden, NJ and Philadelphia, PA, was closed for vehicular traffic because of security measures regarding this visit.
